Before replacing a device
Try to find your phone or device.

If you can’t locate it, suspend your service. If it’s stolen, you’ll also want to block your device so it can’t be used on our network.

Keep in mind: If you have an installment balance, you still have to pay the remaining installment balance on your lost or stolen device. Also, you must stay on an eligible wireless plan during your installment plan term.

Important details
You may have to sign out and sign back in to see the new name online.

The Caller ID name displays on landlines that have Caller ID. It doesn’t override a name saved in a wireless device.

It can take up to 72 hours, excluding weekends, for a landline to show an updated Caller ID name.
People may need to clear your number from their Caller ID record for your new name to appear.
Some home phone service providers may not offer Caller ID or receive regular updates to their Caller ID
information.

For AT&T PREPAIDSM (formerly GoPhone®) customers, the Caller ID name says Wireless Caller.

Make sure your device works in the countries you’ll visit

Most AT&T devices work on foreign frequencies of 1800MHz and 900MHz.
In Japan or South Korea, a device that can use the 2100MHz frequency is required.

All AT&T LTE devices support band 4. These devices work in Canada and certain other countries.
Find out what band your device supports.
